I began practicing yoga in 2006. I started with a Bikram class at Rama Lotus, but quickly fell in love with Jamine Ackert’s Hatha classes. A few years later I was working as a receptionist at Rama Lotus and was inspired to take the plunge and become a teacher myself, completing a 200 hour Hatha yoga teacher training in 2011. Planning to focus my energies mainly on prenatal and Mom and Baby yoga it was a happy coincidence when I discovered I was pregnant with my first child a week before the training was to begin! The intense focus on yoga during this amazing time was instrumental in what turned out to be a beautiful birth experience. I’ve since practiced and taught through a second pregnancy and another uplifting birth. I am deeply grateful for my yoga practice and am passionate about sharing this gift with others.

In May of 2012 Tiny Tree Yoga was born.  Through this venture I hope to bring the joy and peace that yoga offers to new moms, mothers-to-be, and anyone looking to de-stress, gain clarity, and have a little fun. I’m excited to announce that as of October 2014 Tiny Tree Yoga will be partnering with the phenomenal  Little Lotus yogahttp://www.littlelotusyoga.ca/  to spread even more yoga love! I will be offering classes in various venues throughout Ottawa so check the site often for my current schedule and upcoming events.
